If you have rugs whether they are cheap rugs or expensive rugs it’s important to make sure that you look after the way they look and spend time maintaining them. You will find that rugs of any nature over time start to deteriorate due to the amount of dirt and mess that we create over time, and also that they can become quite unhygienic as a result.
There is something you can do yourself – and that’s to use rug cleaning techniques such as vacuuming and such as washing the rugs in the washing machine. The former will be enough to remove the surface layers of dust, dirt and fluff and will make your rugs look much better. However it will not be sufficient to repair the rugs completely and they will still have dust and grime stuck right at the very bottom of the rug fibers. Further, vacuums won’t be sufficient to kill off bacteria.
To this end a washing machine can be useful, but only for cheap rugs. For cheap rugs this will clean the rugs thoroughly and all the way through with product, but for more expensive rugs it can cause them to become unwoven or to lose their color and dye.
Thus you should use professional rug cleaning techniques too. Normal rug cleaning is fine for cheap rugs and some nicer rugs and is a far more thorough clean that works in the same way as professional carpet cleaning. Here a rug cleaning device is used which is a more industrial sized vacuum that also has a reservoir for water and a trigger. The trigger squirts water which is mixed with a solution out of the reservoir and onto the rugs and this is allowed to soak through killing off bacteria and dislodging dust and dirt right at the bottom of the rug. From here the vacuum is used which is far more powerful than a regular vacuum and is able to suck the water all the way through the carpet again as droplets that will enter the vacuum cleaner. This far more thorough method is enough to clean every layer of the carpet and will help to make your room much brighter and cleaner looking and hygienic enough to eat off of.
For more delicate and fine rugs however even this form of rug cleaning might be a little too heavy duty. Instead then you want to use rug dry cleaning. Dry cleaning for rugs basically works without the water and instead uses a ‘dry’ foam or something else to clean it. This attracts dust and dirt and kills bacteria and it will be ‘scrubbed’ into the rugs with industrial brushes. After this the rugs will then be subjected to what will again be a very powerful vacuum. An additional bonus of rug dry cleaning is that it is dry much sooner after which makes it handy for commercial settings that want to resume business as quickly as possible and not worry about waiting for the floor to dry.
